2.- How old are they? It's about 929 years old.3.- Who built them? The Norman Keep was contructed by Robertt Fitzhamon in the early 19th century the castle was enlarged and refacioned in an early. Ghotic revival style by HenryHolland but its transformation was undertaken by William Burges. 4.- When were they built? It was built about 10915.- Why were they built? The castle's original purpose was to be used as a base for controlling the contryside. In time, it became a residence, and it was much rebuilt during the 19th centuary.
